BFood’s net profit for the fourth quarter ended June 30, surged to RM40.66mil from RM14.27mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue in the second quarter grew to RM291.27mil from RM180.72mil a year earlier.

BFood said the increase in revenue was mainly due to higher same-store-sales growth, particularly from Starbuckscafe outlets as well as the opening of new Starbucks cafe outlets during the financial year.

Basic earnings per share stood at 11.28 sen, compared with 4.02 sen in the previous corresponding period.

BFood said the increase in revenue was mainly due to higher same-store-sales growth, particularly from Starbuckscafe outlets as well as the opening of new Starbucks cafe outlets during the financial year.

The group’s pre-tax profit jumped 183% to RM64mil against RM22.39mil in the previous corresponding period.

BFood also declared a fourth interim single-tier dividend of two sen per share, to be payable on Sept 22.
